Smart Home

What is a Smart Home

Home automation is the convenience of accessing your devices at home either locally or remotely from a mobile device. These devices are connected to a local network in your home like appliances, lights, electrical outlets, audio systems, door locks, your thermostat and smoke detectors. From a home security perspective, this also includes your alarm system, video door bell, security cameras, motion sensors, and window and door sensors. HomeAutomationX provides reviews on home automation systems.

When home automation first hit the market, users typically controlled the system from a universal remote or a touch pad hanging on the wall. Then people preferred using the convenience of their mobile devices….not anymore. The future of home automation makes it more convenient to operate your house. HomeAutomationX believes smart homes should be user friendly

Lighting

Today’s home automation systems make it easy for you to use your smartphone or tablet to control the lights in your home. You can switch on your lights and set them to an appropriate brightness, all while you’re home or away.

Audio

Some home automation systems also integrate entertainment. Set your TV’s recording schedule, manage your stored programs, and decide where to watch them, all from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.

Locks

A home automation system will allow you to check—and change, if necessary—the status of your locks and security system remotely. Also, many systems allow remote monitoring of your home security cameras.

Doorbell

The smart doorbell is equipped with a camera, microphone, speaker, and night vision.  It allows you to view and answer your door from anywhere by using your smart phone or tablet.  You can always see who is at your door.

Temperature

Use your home automation app to raise the temperature in the house a few degrees so you can stay comfy. Not only will you feel more comfortable, but you’ll also enjoy the pleasure of a lower energy bill.

Carbon Monoxide

Your home automation system can detect increased levels of carbon monoxide in the air and set off an alarm if you’re in danger. It’s a far more reliable method than the old detectors from the hardware store.

smoke detectors

The wireless smoke detector tests itself automatically, and lasts up to a decade.  It alerts your phone when it goes off, and you can even silence it instead of trying to shut it off manually.

Security Systems

Receive instant alerts if there are any unexpected entry or movement. Use sensors on your doors or windows, or a Motion sensor in your home to get alerts and video recordings instantly.

Convenience of Home Automation

Home automation is “The Internet of Things”. The way that all of our devices and appliances will be networked together to provide us with a seamless control over all aspects of our home and more. HomeAutomationX reviews all these IOT devices and more

Control and automate just about every device and appliance within your home whether you are at home or far away. You’ve all gotten used to controlling your TV from the couch, just wait until you are able to dim the lights as well. HomeAutomationX also shows you how to do this too.

Imagine adjusting the temperature from your bed or controlling the volume of your whole house audio system from any room. Or imagine the wall heater in your bathroom coming on automatically on chilly mornings 5 minutes before your alarm clock goes off so that it is warm when you enter.

Our home security systems gives you peace at mind when you receive an alert with automatic video capturing when someone enters your house. HomeAutomationX has videos on Home Security
